Yatzpan Recommends: Tefillin and Selichot
In a surprising interview on Kol Berama radio, Eli Yatzpan discussed the Iranian threat and encouraged listeners to put on tefillin and wake up for selichot. "Anyone who believes a little and connects a little puts on tefillin for 10 minutes in the morning. And believe me, their life changes."

#VALUE!
In an interview with Kol Berama radio host Ami Maimon, Eli Yatzpan revealed his growing faith and urged listeners to engage in various mitzvot. After discussing his upcoming trip to the graves of righteous people in Ukraine, the popular comedian moved to real words of encouragement. "Let's wish the people of Israel a successful and happy holiday. May we hear good news," he wished. "All the talk about Iran - everything is in the hands of Hashem. Nothing happens unless Hashem decides. We say Hashem will help. Hashem doesn't just help - Hashem is helping. When we say Hashem will help, it's like saying maybe he will help. Hashem helps the people of Israel all the time. Cast your burden on Hashem and he will sustain you. This applies to everything - not just livelihood but also protection. Anyone who is afraid or feels, heaven forbid... nothing will happen without Hashem! No matter what happens in the world. If Hashem doesn't want it, it won't happen. I believe that Hashem doesn't want any harm, even a small one, to come to his people.
They say there haven't been open miracles since Mount Sinai. But people and countries experience miracles that cannot be explained logically. Explain to me how 48 missiles fall - one person died because his gas mask filter was closed. And one missile fell in the Gulf and killed 25 American soldiers. So if that's not a miracle - I don't know what is.
Now we don't know Hashem's considerations. When he wanted to give a big blow in wealth - he gave a massive blow in 2008, and it continues to this day with the wealth of the world. Countries collapsed, they don't have money to sustain themselves.
"So what do you recommend?" asked Maimon.
Yatzpan: "I recommend praying in the morning, putting on tefillin. Now it's Selichot. Whoever can, should get up early, and those who can't should get up for selichot, it's important. No one is perfect, everyone has their own issues. But now is a favorable time, these are the most important days.
"What is putting on tefillin? A person who is patient - it takes exactly 10 minutes. And anyone who believes a little and connects a little, puts on tefillin for 10 minutes in the morning, and believe me, their life changes. Their day changes. I tell everyone who hears me: put it on once, and if you don't put it on the next day - you'll see the difference. I imagine every Jewish boy who had a Bar Mitzvah has tefillin in a closet, in a drawer, down there, up there. Whoever wants to be heard from above, to have their life slightly change, to feel good, to suddenly see the things they want start to happen - should put on tefillin."
