The quantity for requiring a last blessing (from "Daily Halacha" by the rulings of Maran Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, of blessed memory):

For anything a person eats, they must recite a "first blessing," such as the blessing "Shehakol" or "Ha'etz." Even if one only consumes a small amount of the food, if they eat it with the intention to enjoy it, they must bless it. (However, if one only tastes the food to adjust seasoning, for example, they do not bless this act of eating at all). Therefore, someone who chews flavored gum, even if they swallow only a little of it, still must bless the enjoyment of the gum’s flavor. Similarly, if someone drinks anything, they must bless it even if they drink just a tiny drop of that beverage.

All of this applies to the first blessing, but the last blessing is recited only when consuming a "significant amount." The amount is a "Kezayit," which is twenty-seven grams, and for drinks, the amount is "Revi'it," which is eighty-one grams.

Moreover, the eating or drinking must occur in a timeframe where the consumption is completed together. If someone eats the equivalent of a "Kezayit" of bread throughout an entire day, piece by piece, it’s certain they cannot recite Birkat HaMazon afterward. The eating of a "Kezayit" must occur within the timeframe of "Achilat Pras," and authorities differ on its exact duration, with some saying it’s five minutes and others saying it's about seven and a half minutes (additional opinions exist). Hence, it’s advisable to always eat a "Kezayit" (especially during Shabbat meals) within four and a half minutes to fulfill all opinions.

Regarding the last blessing for drinks, one must drink a Revi’it (eighty-one grams) at once; if there's a pause between sips, no last blessing is recited. Therefore, when consuming soup with a spoon, one does not recite a last blessing for drinking the soup because they haven’t swallowed a Revi’it at once, and similarly, those who drink hot coffee or tea do not recite a last blessing, as they cannot drink it all at once.
