Publicizing the miracle, or its Talmudic name "*pirsumei nisa*", is a halachic concept characterizing mitzvot instituted to broadcast historical miracles that happened to the people of Israel. Among the mitzvot instituted for the publicity of a miracle are reciting Hallel, mentioning the miracles on Chanukah and Purim, drinking four cups on the Seder night, holding a feast on Purim, and reading the Megillah of Esther.
Rambam writes in the Laws of Chanukah (Laws of Megillah and Chanukah 4:12) thus: "The mitzvah of the Chanukah candle is a greatly beloved mitzvah, and a person must be careful with it in order to publicize the miracle and to add praise to the Almighty and thanks to Him for the miracles He performed for us. Even if he has nothing to eat but from charity, he should beg or sell his garment and buy oil and candles and light them."
Share with us the miracle you experienced, and together we will give thanks and praise for the miracles performed for our forefathers and for us. In those days and in this time.
We look forward to your miracle story at the email: support@htv.co.il
