#VALUE!
I have so many reasons to say thank You to Hashem, but I’d like to share a small story from my life that means the world to me.
A few years ago, I was in a serious car accident. It was the kind of moment that could have changed everything. But through Hashem’s loving kindness, I survived. It took years of recovery, but today, thank God, I’m alive—and I’m walking.
I can never fully express the gratitude I feel for being able to stand, move, and walk on my own two feet. Still, I want to focus on something that might seem small to others—but to me, it's a daily reminder of Hashem’s personal care.
As part of my recovery, I was told I must walk every single day. It became part of my life. The challenge? I live in a busy city neighborhood with very few traffic lights, and crossing the street was often scary and dangerous—especially with limited mobility.
I turned to the city’s municipality multiple times, asking them to install traffic lights along my route. Each time, I was met with the same answer: no. There were too many excuses—budget limits, fear of causing traffic jams, or saying it just wasn’t necessary.
But I had no choice. I kept walking anyway. I needed to. And each time I crossed a busy road, I prayed silently and hoped Hashem would watch over me.
And then, one day, something changed.
I was on my regular walk when I noticed a new sign posted on a street corner. I rubbed my eyes to make sure I was seeing it correctly. It read: “Traffic lights will be installed here.” I could hardly believe it. Not just there—but along my entire walking route, traffic lights were suddenly being installed.
I stood there in shock. It was as if Hashem Himself had placed them just for me.
To others, traffic lights are just ordinary parts of the road. But for me, each light is a quiet whisper from Heaven: “I see you. I’m walking with you.”
Since then, every time I walk past those lights, I pause. I wait for the green light—and I thank Hashem. I thank Him not only for helping me survive the accident, but for taking care of the small, everyday things. Things that might seem minor to others, but to me, are reminders that I am never alone.
Hashem listens. Hashem sees. And sometimes, He even changes a city’s traffic plan just for you.
