The Saudi news channel Al Arabiya reported Sunday that Hamas has located the remains of three deceased hostages in Gaza, citing unnamed sources within the terrorist organization.

According to the report, the sources claimed that the remains were discovered in areas still under Hamas control. There has been no confirmation from Israeli authorities.

The report comes amid ongoing instability in Gaza despite a fragile U.S.-brokered ceasefire that has been in effect for nearly a month. Earlier on Sunday, the IDF said it struck a Hamas terrorist who crossed the Yellow Line and posed an “immediate threat” to Israeli troops operating in northern Gaza. “Following the identification, the Air Force attacked the terrorist to remove the threat to our forces,” the IDF Spokesperson said in a statement.

Al Jazeera also reported ongoing mediation efforts between international intermediaries and both Israel and Hamas to arrange the safe withdrawal of Hamas terrorists trapped beyond the Yellow Line, to prevent direct clashes with Israeli troops. Those efforts, according to the report, would involve using Red Cross vehicles to facilitate safe passage.

Meanwhile, the IDF’s Nahal Brigade continued operating in the Rafah area east of the Yellow Line “in accordance with the ceasefire agreement and political directives,” the army said. Troops have located rocket launchers, weapons, and tunnel shafts left behind by Hamas in recent days, as Israeli forces work to dismantle remaining terror infrastructure.

As of Sunday evening, there was no official response from Hamas beyond the reported leaks to Al Arabiya, and Israeli officials had not confirmed whether any transfer or recovery operation was being prepared.
