Why Tiny Critters Always Outrun Us
Ever been amazed by the speed of tiny animals and insects? Turns out, they might be equally perplexed by our slow-mo antics, or even amused watching us in slow motion. A new study reveals their perception of time is wildly different from ours.

#VALUE!
Already given up on trying to catch flies? According to a recent study, insects experience reality in slow motion, allowing them to deftly dodge danger.
It's not just insects that enjoy this nifty ability. Scientists say, according to research published in the British journal "Animal Behaviour," there's a link between an animal's size and its perception of time.
Basically, the smaller the creature and the faster its metabolism, the slower time seems to pass for it.
Evidence for this was presented in a study examining animals' abilities to distinguish between different flashes of rapidly flickering light—the "critical flicker fusion frequency."
