The Meaning Behind the Colors of the Human Body

The human body consists of a framework of white bones and red muscle that covers them.

This reveals an inner kindness cloaked by an exterior of 'strength'. Remarkably, the red blood itself is formed within these white bones. From a spiritual view, it suggests that even strength is born from kindness. That is, the harshness in the world that causes suffering originates from goodness, akin to the path of kindness. Through judgment and difficulty, one cleanses the stains of their sins and gains true insight into their life's purpose, echoing the scripture: [1] 'Hashem [the Name of Mercy] is the God [the Name of Judgment]'—showing that judgment itself is mercy.

On the flip side, the red blood contains white cells that protect the body from harmful bacteria. The red cells deliver oxygen and nutrients to all body cells, sustaining and maintaining them—a reflection of the attribute of strength which aligns with judgment.

Since the Creator, who made all beings, is supposed to nourish them (so to speak) by judgment. Yet, the role of the white cells that destroy bacteria is one of kindness. The Creator not only provides for his creations but also ensures their protection by eliminating external threats due to their deeds.[2]
