First and foremost, it's important to include all food groups in your diet to prevent nutritional deficiencies. There's a common myth that to lose weight, you need to eliminate all fats since they're calorie-dense. However, this isn't true because all the neurons in our brains are constructed from fatty acids. Thus, it's crucial to consume healthy fats, mainly found in fish and plant oils. These not only help lower blood pressure, keep skin youthful and supple, and reduce harmful cholesterol levels but also promote brain and eye development. Interestingly, they encourage weight loss by inducing a long-lasting feeling of fullness. Omega-3 fatty acids found in fish accelerate metabolism and can be consumed as a dietary supplement in capsules that have been refrigerated to prevent oxidation.

Vegetables are rich in dietary fibers, vitamins, and minerals, and can be enjoyed either cooked or raw. It's advisable to eat a variety of colors and types. Green leafy vegetables are high in chlorophyll, which helps detoxify the liver and tissues from accumulated toxins. Additionally, they are loaded with antioxidants that combat heart diseases and terminal illnesses. Among them, broccoli is the richest in antioxidants. Consider adding cabbage, purple onions, and two cloves of garlic a day to your diet.

Fruit consumption should be limited to two servings a day. Recommended choices include kiwi, pomegranate, apple, pear, and berries, as they are high in antioxidants but low in sugar.

Whole carbs - in moderation: Whole grains, quinoa, green buckwheat, brown rice, oatmeal.

Legumes are a plant-based protein that is preferable to animal protein since it doesn't strain the kidneys. It's important to consume protein daily as it fosters a feeling of satiety, and the digestion of proteins requires more energy, burning more calories.

Drinking 8 cups of 250 milliliters of water each day is essential for weight loss. It's advisable to drink at least half an hour before meals. Water enhances the feeling of fullness, aids in proper kidney function, and contributes to the breakdown of stored fat and the expulsion of waste from the body.

It's recommended to finish dinner by eight in the evening and begin eating the next morning at ten, allowing for 14 hours of fasting. During this time, the body uses its fat stores for the energy needed to keep functioning, which in turn aids in weight loss.

Finally, scientific studies have shown that when a person envisions themselves as they wish to appear, it accelerates the process. Start imagining your life as a healthy, active individual, and most importantly, serving Hashem in health and joy!
