Spirulina, a blue-green algae, was selected by NASA to enhance astronaut diets on space missions. It's considered one of nature's most perfect foods, promoting human health.

Spirulina is a super source of protein that's easily digestible. It contains 60% protein, including all essential amino acids, making spirulina an ideal protein form.

Spirulina ranks second in gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) content, following breast milk.

Just 10 grams of spirulina provide over 90 mg of GLA. Gamma-linolenic acid facilitates prostaglandin (PGF) production, known to reduce inflammation and platelet aggregation, thus modulating the immune system. Consequently, spirulina is beneficial for heart disease, blood clotting issues, asthma, arthritis, skin inflammations, allergies, diabetes, nerve disorders, and more. Spirulina also offers essential fatty acids, omega-3 and omega-6, which are recommended for health.

A special pigment known as phycocyanin gives spirulina its blue-green color for photosynthesis. It's a powerful antioxidant capable of neutralizing free radicals. Research has also shown it inhibits the development of colon cancer.

Spirulina contains five times more iron than spinach.

Its beta-carotene—a potent antioxidant—is 25 times greater than that found in carrots, for instance. Spirulina also provides 30% more calcium than milk.

A range of essential nutrients are present in spirulina, including high levels of vitamins like A, B12, B6, iron, iodine, and magnesium.

B vitamins, especially B12, play crucial roles in our bodies, including nourishing the nervous system, producing red blood cells and fatty acids, and processing DNA. For those on plant-based diets, spirulina can be an efficient source of vitamin B12, with just 3 grams providing 400% of the recommended daily intake.

Spirulina is effective for those needing additional nutrition due to extensive physical activity, or for those dealing with prolonged stress. It's also beneficial for those with limited diets due to food allergies.

Spirulina is recommended for degenerative conditions such as diabetes, obesity, arteriosclerosis, cancer, arthritis, and more, as well as for inflammation, allergies, and liver and kidney function disorders.

The suitable dosage is one teaspoon per day, with meals.
