We all experience stress at different points in life, but when it becomes chronic, it's important to address it early. Following are common signs that you're suffering from emotional stress:
1. Fatigue and Trouble Sleeping
If you're feeling stressed, you're likely also feeling very tired, but struggling with insomnia and difficulty falling asleep. Even if you do manage to sleep, you may wake up feeling exhausted. This is because stress drains the body's energy and leaves us feeling depleted.
2. Skin Problems
Emotional stress increases the risk of inflammation in the body, which may manifest as acne, psoriasis, eczema, or other skin rashes.

3. Weight Fluctuations
Stress can alter your metabolism. You may experience an increased appetite- or a complete loss of it- leading to sudden weight gain or loss.
4. Rapid Heart Rate
Mental tension can raise your heart rate, which may result in noticeable heart palpitations.

5. Digestive Issues
Stomachaches, indigestion, and constipation are often tied to stress and worry. The digestive system is highly sensitive to our emotional state.
6. Headaches
You might suffer from headaches due to emotional stress, ranging from mild tension headaches to severe migraines.

7. Frequent Colds
If you find yourself catching colds or the flu often, emotional stress could be weakening your immune system and making you more susceptible to illness.
8. Muscle Tension
Tight muscles, especially in the neck, back, and shoulders, are a common physical reaction to psychological stress and can cause ongoing discomfort and pain.
