The Common Mistake We All Make When Washing Our Hands
Many of us weren't taught the right hand hygiene techniques from a young age. This article highlights common errors we make (even) when washing our hands.

To ensure the best hand hygiene, it's important to wash your hands properly, following the recommended guidelines from health authorities. However, many of us weren't 'taught' from a young age to wash our hands correctly.
When washing hands, there are several common mistakes people frequently make. This article will address each of these errors, with the first and most important being the recommended time to 'spend' under the sink – which most of us simply don't know. Even if we're in a big hurry, it's crucial to remember that when there are germs on your hands, they don't come off easily.
To completely remove them, you need to 'spend' at least half a minute to a minute under the sink, thoroughly rubbing your hands with water and soap. Use plenty of soap to create lather that covers all areas of the hands – the palms, backs of the hands, between the fingers, and even under the nails.
Another mistake we make after washing our hands is repeatedly using a towel that, due to its moisture, breeds new germs each time. So what's the solution? Either dry your hands in the dry area of the reusable towel or switch to a new towel.
And remember this mistake: After you wash and dry your hands well, don't touch contaminated surfaces like faucets, door handles, dirty towels, etc., because touching these dirty surfaces again (which we all fail at) requires you to wash your hands again, after you've already washed them. Consider yourself warned.
