Is it possible to eat pasta while dieting and still maintain your results? Turns out, yes. A personal trainer named Nick Mitchell has sparked a major online buzz with a claim that's hard to digest: carbs in a diet are not entirely 'out'.
There is indeed a way to eat carbs and keep losing weight, and according to Mitchell, it's easier than you think. "If you do it my way, you'll see how you continue to shed pounds even if it seems totally ridiculous to you," he promises, sharing that the secret lies in... how you eat these foods, not in the type of sauce you choose.
"If you eat the pasta really cold, the glycemic index lowers, and you can enjoy it even while dieting," he says. While cold pasta might not be the tastiest, some would consider it knowing it could curb their cravings for sugars and other snacks. Mitchell also suggests consuming potatoes this way, perhaps as a cold salad with all your favorite (non-sweet) ingredients.
"Don't go crazy with honey in the salad," he emphasizes. "This solution is to wake you up to the idea that carbs aren't a 'dirty' word when it comes to diets, and it's even desirable to include them in a permissible way."
