#VALUE!
Is there a nutritional difference between fresh and frozen fish? Nutritionist Dr. Maya Rozman explained on her show on 103FM radio that there is no significant difference.
"The only thing I've noticed in some frozen products is that they say 'contains added water' 10 or 20 percent, which means that if you're weighing 100 grams of fish before preparation, there's slightly less protein than one without added water.
In fact, it doesn't make much difference," concludes Dr. Rozman.

A Great Way to Retain Nutrients
Dr. Rozman also emphasized that freezing doesn't destroy nutritional values like B12, protein, or iron. She says it's a great method to preserve fish nutrients: "It might even be preferable because you can't know how long fresh fish has been out, compared to a product frozen immediately, which might even be cleaner and safer to consume.
