Your back aches again, putting a pause on your daily routine. How can you cope, and most importantly, prevent these pains? Here are four essential ways to keep your back healthy and avoid pain:

1. Breathing with a Straight Back

A harmful habit is slouching while sitting. It's not enough to just pull your shoulders back; it's important to pay attention to how you breathe when you're sitting upright. Remember, long breaths can help stabilize your body and, subsequently, help prevent back pain.

2. Balancing Both Sides

We usually tend to use one side of our body more than the other for certain actions. This pattern can lead to weak muscles and increase the likelihood of pain. So, whenever you're holding a tool or opening a door, make sure to balance the use between both sides of your body.

3. Keep Moving

It's crucial to stay active most of the time to ensure blood circulation through the muscles and avoid stiffness, which can lead to pain. Take the stairs instead of the elevator, get off one stop early, take a break to walk to the kitchen and back. The key is to keep your body moving.

4. Mental Calmness

Back pain sometimes stems from stress, worries, and anxiety, as research shows. Consider this information seriously and find ways to relax, whether it's taking 10 minutes a day for solitude or just practicing deep breathing. It's a long-term investment in your health.
