What do you start your morning with? If it's on this list, you might want to reconsider:
1. Juices
Buying juices at the store? Most contain high levels of sugar, artificial flavors, food coloring, and preservatives. Initially, they might give you an energy boost, but this feeling fades quickly, leaving you craving more sugary foods as your blood sugar dips.
Also, the high acidity in citrus fruits, like oranges and grapefruits, can lead to heartburn, gastritis, or reflux when consumed on an empty stomach.
Tip: Opt for less acidic fruits like bananas or apples, and instead of buying fruit juice, give your body vitamins and minerals by eating fresh fruits.

2. Tomato
Eating a tomato alone in the morning is not recommended, especially if you have an acidic stomach or ulcers.
Tip: Add a tomato to your morning sandwich or include it in a fresh salad.

3. Coffee
Having coffee on an empty stomach is a poor choice. It can dehydrate you, cause heartburn, worsen acid reflux, and disrupt digestion. It might also increase anxiety and cause mood swings.
Tip: Enjoy your coffee after breakfast or have a small snack before drinking it.

4. Spicy Foods
Love spicy foods? Maybe skip them at breakfast.
Spicy foods on an empty stomach can irritate the stomach lining, leading to inflammation, stomach pain, and even ulcers if it becomes a habit.
Tip: Enjoy spicy foods after a meal when there's a protective layer of food in your stomach to prevent these effects.

5. Fizzy Drinks
Why not have fizzy drinks on an empty stomach? Besides causing bloating and gas, they contain high levels of sugar, leading to a quick spike in blood sugar followed by a crash that leaves you tired.
Tip: Drink water or herbal tea instead.
