Soothe That April Sore Throat with a Zesty Remedy
Feeling that unexpected throat scratchiness just as the temperature climbs? American nutritionist David Wolfe shares a unique solution.

With Purim behind us and Passover too, it might be surprising when suddenly, just before summer, your throat starts to feel sore.
If you experience a sore throat in mid-April, know that there's a remedy for it. This tip, like many others on his blog, might sound a bit unconventional. That's David Wolfe for you - always pushing boundaries with his unusual recommendations, or as he puts it - things we'd never dare to utter.
"I know how uncomfortable it must feel in mid-April, with a stuffy nose and a dry, sore throat," he writes. "Before modern Western medicine, our ancestors relied solely on nature to heal their wounds and overcome illnesses. You might be pleasantly surprised at the multitude of issues and symptoms you can address with just lemon, salt, and pepper."
"You can also add a tablespoon of honey if you're not a fan of the bitterness of this drink," he emphasizes. "Juice from three lemons, a tablespoon of honey, a teaspoon of black pepper, and a teaspoon of sea salt mixed in warm water is an incredible remedy for anyone suffering from a sore throat, even in April," he concludes.
