Trying a low-carb diet? You should know that a low-carb diet can often be low in dietary fiber too, which helps with digestion and keeps you feeling full longer. According to an article from Walla, here are 7 foods that are low in carbs but high in fiber:

Flaxseeds

Flaxseeds promote digestive health and contain dietary fiber, protein, and omega-3 fatty acids. They're also an excellent source of lignans, which may reduce cancer risk. One tablespoon of flaxseeds has about 3 grams of fiber.

Avocado

Avocados help lower cholesterol, reduce the risk of heart disease and cancer, and maintain blood sugar levels—just a few of their health benefits. Avocados are also rich in fiber, with around 7 grams per 100 grams, which is double that of broccoli.

Chia Seeds

Chia seeds are considered a complete protein source because they contain all essential amino acids. Their absorption capacity helps keep you full for longer. Chia seeds are a whole and much healthier grain option than many others, with about 5.5 grams of fiber per tablespoon.

Cauliflower

Cauliflower, a cruciferous vegetable, is rich in minerals, vitamins, and antioxidants. Among vegetables, it has a particularly high fiber content. One cup of cooked cauliflower contains 4 grams of fiber—double that of cabbage and quadruple that of beets.

Berries

Berries contain antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals that are essential for the body. Regular consumption of berries can reduce the risk of chronic inflammation and heart disease. Additionally, berries are impressively high in fiber, with about 8 grams per cup.

Bran

Wheat bran is the outer shell of the wheat grain and contains a concentrated amount of dietary fiber. Eating whole grains like bran reduces the body's insulin resistance and inflammation markers. One hundred grams of bran contains 42 grams of fiber.

Almonds

Almonds contain healthy fats, protein, vitamin E, and magnesium. They are a good source of fiber and protein, which may help increase fullness and aid in weight loss. A small handful of almonds has about 3.5 grams of fiber.
