Remember the days when grandma didn't have "seasoning cubes"? Instead, there was that iconic neon yellow powder. It came in a packet, or if you were lucky, a glass jar. If you bothered to read the long list of English ingredients (who did?), it was like deciphering a secret code. But it tasted amazing and was deliciously salty.

Over time, as health consciousness rose, leading manufacturers marketed the powder as "all-natural." Sounds nice, right? But a closer look at the ingredients told another story. In place of so-called harmful substances, they added sodium—which, as everyone knows, is just... salt. And too much salt, let's face it, isn't healthy.

So here we are, humanity at Phase C in the quest for healthier alternatives to soup powder. Like many historical cycles, it turns out the healthiest choice is to go back and DIY from natural ingredients.

Some might say, there's no need. A few spices, some fried onions, a pinch of salt, and we're good. They're probably right. But if you're eager to try something new and create your own seasoning cubes that beat store-bought powder both in flavor and in boosting your immune system, you're in luck! Keep reading for the ultimate DIY seasoning cube recipe.
