#VALUE!

This is a metaphorical letter I wrote to someone who underwent an incredible transformation through our sessions. I believe the message, written from the heart, resonates deeply with me and will motivate others as well.

A bit of background: this person struggled with a mild addiction. Additionally, his life seemed to collapse around him, with those closest to him seemingly betraying him, deepening his sense of helplessness.

At a certain stage, after making significant and astonishing progress—he is a person with very high emotional intelligence, talent, and more—he suddenly faced a severe crisis that threatened to unravel everything, and from there, he found himself on the brink of a new addiction...

So here's what I wrote to this amazing individual.

-----------

Right from the first meeting, I noticed he wasn't just anyone. He has remarkable potential, fertile ground for the most amazing growth. He could be truly successful and happy—among the top achievers!

But he needed my guidance. He struggled to cultivate the beautiful crops because the neighbors' lands, filled with thorns, confused him completely, reaching over into his field.

Yes, I enjoyed our sessions; it's gratifying to work with such unique talent, rarely seen. In truth, I haven't encountered anyone with such potential before. But...

His field also bore wild fruits, unpleasant outcomes. He realized he needed help, direction.

I gave my all, even shedding tears with him over the influences of others and his responsibility in the situation, previously not acknowledged. Now, he is willing to take responsibility.

Sometimes he blamed the neighbors. It's easy, offering a strange solace, "I'm a victim." But it's destructive.

And what could I do? Not much.

A victim is always certain of his victimhood, or else he wouldn't be there. He's not here to hear this. Yet he understood—profoundly, yet it overwhelmed him.

He's amazing, this man!

He suddenly began applying techniques to his field that transformed the barren land! Wow! You can't imagine how amazed I was. At times, I felt like I was learning from him.

Yes, I knew it was a process with ups and downs. I won't detail them all, but there's one thing I must share.

The truth is, I sit and write this story, because it pains me. Deeply! Such an extraordinary field is being squandered before my eyes! I tell myself, maybe someone immersed in the picture can't see it, see themselves, so I'll let him look at it from outside, at the owner of an amazing field... maybe then he'll see something different.

I care about him, I want to help.

From the start, I saw him dealing with dangerous stuff, watering a great field with harmful waste. Waste, clearly setting the stage for the next devastation, after which recovery is exponentially harder.

I tried to point it out, but he looked at me like someone who knows everything, not out of arrogance, but because there's something flashy about this substance, clouding his vision. It's dangerous!

I let it go. I realized the best approach was to work around it, to build something within him that ultimately protects him from being swept away by the allure. But...

I missed the train.

It suddenly became clear to me that he was using that substance several times a day, not just once a week...

What a critical miss!

He sat at the edge of the field, with a faraway look toward illusory fruits, telling me, "Listen, Hagi, I can't give up on this stuff. It makes me feel good, it helps me not see how my neighbors ruin my field."

Painful. Because he doesn't realize he's destroying his incredible potential again, from the viewpoint of a victim who doesn't need to take responsibility.

He chooses to blame the neighbors, those who allocated the lands. He's confident he's right.

But he doesn't understand that righteousness doesn't produce bread! He doesn't understand!

Now, I just ask: sit with a sheet of paper and a pen, and sketch how your land will look in a couple of months. Yes. Short term!

Frustrating!

I suggest to him, gather yourself, and fight against the power you think you lack. It's lying to you!

You know inside you have it!

All the tools I gave him won't help cultivate the field if he doesn't fight the force.

It's only in your hands!

-----------

That's the letter. You're probably curious about what happened next. It's not over yet, the process he's undergoing. But he's in a completely different place now. And if you ask me, I have no doubt he's poised to succeed. Big time! I wouldn't be surprised if many of us hear about him in the future...
