Will redemption come in the year 5784? In the writings of Rabbi Meir Yehuda Shapiro, of blessed memory, in his book "Or L'Meir" on the portion of Bo (written in 1913, about 100 years ago), the year 5784 is mentioned as a potential time for redemption.

It is written:

"The light of the Messiah will be revealed, for during the plague of darkness they were shown a glimpse of the light that will come in the days of David, our righteous Messiah, during the year 5784..."

Additionally, the year 5784 is mentioned several times as the potential coming of redemption.

According to his words, we are in a year capable of redemption, and it is a well-known principle that even when the time arrives, everything depends on rectifying our actions, returning to repentance, and observing the commandments - if we are to be redeemed this year.

Therefore, this should not be seen as an absolute promise, as we must strengthen our Torah study, commandment observance, and make a full return to repentance to have the merit to be redeemed this year.
