Could the Pandemic Herald the Arrival of the Messiah?
The coronavirus has shown us just how quickly the world can change. Could the same be true for the arrival of the Messiah? Perhaps this time of uncertainty is preparing us for something amazing.

#VALUE!
A year ago, nobody had heard of "coronavirus." It was an unknown entity. But within months, it began to dominate every aspect of our lives, changing everything as it spread...
In the same way, there is a personality among us right now... the Messiah! At present, no one acknowledges him; he's not part of our everyday landscape.
Yet, just as coronavirus appeared, spread, and changed realities, the Messiah will one day arrive. And within hours, he will establish a new order, transforming the world - for the better...
And it will happen even faster than the pandemic did. Can you grasp that? We now have a precedent. Saying the Messiah could come any day was once something sung in old Jewish songs, something far-fetched... Our world seemed too rigid to allow for such a revolution in a matter of days...
But now? Now the coronavirus has shown us that things can transform instantly, the entire world can change in a moment, and all we need to do is channel our fear and uncertainty from the pandemic towards "fear of Hashem and goodness!"
Yes, there’s uncertainty today. You don’t know what tomorrow will bring, whether there will be another lockdown or not, or how it will all end. Take this uncertainty and fear to Hashem, to His goodness. Let's decide that... who knows... maybe the Messiah will arrive tomorrow... yes... tomorrow... and all this uncertainty will transform into endless good and kindness without warning...
But what do we do about the fact that waiting for the Messiah has become a cliché, with us saying he could come any day for so long? So, should we keep saying it?
No, this time it’s different. Until now, I just said it. Now, I understand it much better. I have an example to refer to. When I say today that the Messiah could arrive today... I envision a scenario we've lived through this year... that suddenly everything changes... but not for the worse... instead, for the better!
Sometimes when I walk down the street today and see absolutely everyone in masks, I pinch myself and rub my eyes. Wait... am I dreaming? Just months ago, only dental surgeons wore these masks, and now everyone does... without exception!
So imagine this: Today, sometimes I find myself walking in a secular street, and I'm the only one who's visibly Orthodox. But think that in just a few weeks, suddenly the earth could be filled with knowledge of Hashem... and everyone will be wearing kipah and tzitzit, aware of the Divine, and understanding that all creation is indeed His work... Can you believe this could happen in a few weeks? Do you believe? Until now, I found it hard to digest such a thing... But now with the masks - it's become quite tangible to me, just like how we all became mask-clad surgeons in weeks, so too everyone could embrace the fear of Hashem and His name.
Just as quickly everything closed down, locked up, came to a halt, so too will everything open up in days. The gates of heaven will open, and our Father in heaven will shower us with handfuls of love and compassion.
In a little wrath I hid my face from you for a moment... just a moment!!! These two-thousand years are but a moment for Hashem, so imagine the goodness awaiting us, and let us fear Hashem and His goodness! Take the fears we had in recent times, and translate them into a fear of Hashem's goodness.
Yes. This same uncertainty and surprising factor that changed our lives, soon Hashem will surprise us with salvation and mercy and future redemption.
