#VALUE!
About two years ago, following an MRI scan, American actress Sharon Stone experienced a near-death moment that kept her away from the spotlight for a long time. It was only months later, when she felt 'brave' enough to share what she had 'seen,' that she appeared on Oprah Winfrey's popular program "OWN" and shared her stirring experience: "I fainted and was unconscious for a few minutes. It's a bit hard to describe the feeling because it's still very fresh. Overall, it's a kind of euphoria, where you don't really know who you are, where you are, or what's happening to you.
"There was a lot of white light, and I saw people who had already passed away, and they came to speak with me. Then... just within seconds, I returned to the reality of this world, to my body. But when I woke up, nothing was the same. I woke up with an extraordinary sense of the meaning of existence, and how death, which I was so afraid of, is actually very 'close.'
"Death isn't as terrifying as it's made out to be, on the contrary. It's gentle, loving, and comforting, and there's no reason to fear it. I felt so safe in its embrace, so protected and loved, like a little girl in her father's arms.
"So when I returned to my body, I was shocked to see how the doctors placed their hands on my forehead with great compassion in their eyes, as if to say without words: 'We're glad you're back, we almost lost you.' I remember the first thought that crossed my mind was: 'Hello. I just came back from the most pure and amazing place that could be, and you're 'glad' I'm back?' But on second thought, after I gathered myself a bit, I was happy to be here. I wanted to be with my son again, and I was glad to be given that opportunity once more."
