A Miracle in the Making: Toddler's Near-Drowning Turns into a Story of Hope

A story that made headlines about a year ago continues to capture attention:

It all began when Julia Trash from the U.S. was at home with her little daughter, Jaya, who was then a year old. Seeing Jaya watching TV contentedly, Julia decided to take advantage of the moment for a quick bathroom break.

But just a few minutes later, when she returned to the living room, she was shocked to see Jaya was gone. "I saw the door to the backyard open and ran outside in panic," she recalled at the time. "All I was thinking was, 'Please don’t let it be the pool,' but to my great sorrow - when I got there, I saw my little Jaya’s body floating on the water."

Julia cried and went into panic. "I ran to the pool, pulled Jaya’s body from the water, and shouted for her to wake up. I had no idea what to do in that situation. I was completely stunned."

While crying hysterically, Julia called 911 and simultaneously tried to resuscitate her daughter, but sadly - it was too late. "I was begging her to wake up, and besides waiting for the paramedics, I could do nothing," she recounted.

Once they arrived, the paramedics worked for an hour and a half to revive little Jaya, but to no avail. With all efforts failing, they could do nothing but pronounce her dead. "I don’t know how I functioned during those moments. I only remember holding my head, screaming... I couldn’t feel anything."

Jaya was taken by ambulance to the hospital, along with her mother. There, the medical team awaited the coroner to examine Jaya's body and declare the final conclusion.

But then, just before this closing chapter on the toddler's soul, a miracle occurred right before the eyes of everyone in the room. "Suddenly, we heard her cough," one of the doctors present in the room recounted. "She had been dead for over two hours, and that cough shocked us all. But what surprised us even more was that after she recovered and slowly came back to herself, we saw no damage had been done to her brain or body - a possibility in such cases."

In a recent interview, Julia shared that not only did Jaya relearn skills like talking and walking within just three weeks, just days later, another miracle happened. "When Jaya managed to recover, the paramedics who had declared her dead came to visit, but she only ran to one of them. That paramedic was the first who worked on her and performed the attempts to revive her, and Jaya knew exactly how to show her gratitude - even though no one had told her about that."
