Surprise Encounter: Giant Snake Found in Toilet

In any other situation, this might sound like a joke, or at least a scene from a horror film, but it actually happened: a woman went to use the bathroom, lifted the toilet lid, and found a giant snake inside.

The event occurred recently in Moscow, the capital of Russia. According to local reports, this woman got an unpleasant surprise when she entered her bathroom: a massive albino boa constrictor was lurking in her toilet.

The boa constrictor is a member of the Boidae family. It usually resides in the rainforests of South America. Its length starts at around 5 feet and can reach up to 10 feet. This snake is considered relatively calm compared to other snakes—found in many homes around the world as a pet for those who can care for it.

So how did it end up in her toilet? A quick check revealed that the snake was a pet belonging to one of her neighbors. Apparently, its owner locked it in the bathroom while cleaning its enclosure, but upon opening the door, was shocked to find it missing—it had simply slithered into the plumbing and emerged through the neighbor's toilet.

According to those familiar with the situation, this wasn't the first time the snake had escaped. About two years ago, it slipped out of its box, crawled out of the apartment, and made it into the stairwell. A neighbor accidentally stumbled upon it, saving the day.

And what about the woman who found the snake in her toilet? She called the police, who then contacted a snake catcher to remove it. Afterward, those present decided to take some memorable photos with the snake.
