Last night (Wednesday), Staff Sergeant Elisha Yonatan Luber from Yitzhar was laid to rest. He served as a soldier in the 8104th Battalion of the 197th Brigade, and he was married with one son.
Luber was the cousin of Hallel and Yagel Yaniv, who were tragically killed in a shooting attack in Huwara. Before the funeral, Yonatan's father, Chagai Luber, called upon the people of Israel to attend the funeral and offer their support. "Anyone who can come, if it doesn’t disrupt their routine, will help strengthen us," he said.
Yonatan’s family invited musicians to play the sacred Baal Shem Tov melody that was played at his wedding. Watch the poignant footage.
