Roi Yanovsky, a reserve Major and head of the investigative desk at Channel 13 News, has been enlisted since Simchat Torah to fight in the south, spending the last couple of weeks in Gaza. Yesterday, Yanovsky took a break from the Strip with his team for some respite, using the opportunity to post a thread on platform X (formerly Twitter) about the 'things found in Gaza's residential homes.'
According to Yanovsky, the most common items soldiers find in these homes are RPG rockets and Kalashnikov rifles. 'The selection is impressive, no doubt,' he remarked.
Also on the list are explosive devices: 'It's hard to find a street without a house holding a few ready to be activated,' Yanovsky wrote. 'There are also vests, uniforms, and some pretty decent combat gear.'
What else is on the Gaza inventory list? Grad rockets; a calendar depicting Gilad Shalit being led into captivity by Hamas militants, along with other illustrations portraying various attacks; and a book titled 'Combat Heritage' about the Second Intifada's terror attacks.
Finally, Yanovsky noted another item: 'A children's coloring book, beginning with a description of the Nakba. In general, a "Palestine map" based on the mandate borders and without mentioning Israel is a feature found in almost every home.'
