Exploring AI Artistry: My Journey with AI-Generated Home Designs

I asked for a simple list sketch and got a man instead, refined the request and ended up with a list accompanied by a surreal oversized pen. But the real fun began when I directed the AI to design beautiful rooms. Who said wild interior designs couldn’t be AI-made?

The AI app for creating and designing images has become a sensation among designers—or really anyone who enjoys dabbling in image creation without a brush or camera. All it asks from us are a few words, enabling us to produce stunning images that make us feel like professional artists. Yet, there's one glaring downside: what you describe may not be exactly what you get. The AI interprets your description, no matter how precise, with a creative flair that's somewhat its own (or its developers'). It can be amusing, sometimes a bit odd, as shown in the following images.

Here's what happened when I requested a beautiful landscape, with vast lawns, trees, and clear skies. You might say, I got what I imagined:

In contrast, here's the outcome when I asked for a TO-DO list sketch:

You see there’s no semblance between the original request and what I got. An interesting point about the AI, at least this software, is its struggle with rendering hands accurately. Check out the man's hand in the image. A bit creepy, right?!

After refining my request with more details, I received something closer to reality, yet keen observers will notice a crucial detail missing in the image:

And what about interior design? Here's what happened when I asked the software for boho-chic style rooms. It seems "AI" wasn't quite sure what I meant, but this living room is still rather charming, even if it misses the "boho-chic" mark.

Ultimately, AI development strides forward remarkably quickly, whether we wish for it or not. Even detailed guides written in various blogs a few months ago are no longer relevant (unless they're updated almost daily with the latest software innovations). We can only keep exploring these tools, trying to create unique and magical images.
