Jerusalem's Kosher Pizza Makes the Global Top List

The TOP 50 PIZZA guide, the world's leading magazine evaluating Italian and Neapolitan-style pizzerias globally, ranked the Jerusalem-based "La Piedra" as the best pizza in Israel and one of the world's finest. It clinched the 38th spot out of the top 50 pizzas worldwide, the first time an Israeli pizzeria has made it onto this esteemed list.

Helmed by Chef Avi Sinclair, the pizzeria received a certificate from the guide, often hailed as the "Michelin of pizzas" by experts, as well as a chef's jacket. After the accolade, Sinclair expressed: "I'm excited about the milestone and the impressive event. Proud that my partners and I received international recognition after years of hard and dedicated work, along with numerous positive reactions from our customers who appreciate the care put into every slice and pie. We are thrilled to have opened the door for more Israeli pizzerias to enter this prestigious magazine in the coming years, as Israel boasts excellent pizzerias. La Piedra operates in two locations, and their pizza is crafted using the Neapolitan style - fired in a stone oven with wood fire. In 2016, they opened their pizzeria on Agron Street. The name was chosen as a tribute by the chef to his mother, who is of Argentine descent.
