A former homeless man is hailed as a hero in the U.S. after saving a baby in a stroller just in the nick of time.
The incident occurred near a busy road. Ronald Nessman was on his way to a job interview at a restaurant when he noticed a stroller speeding toward the street, away from a woman who had just gotten out of her car and placed the baby inside the stroller.
Many people saw the situation and wanted to help, but Ronald was the closest and the first to reach the stroller.
The heart-stopping moments were captured by passersby who quickly took out their cameras to document the miracle. "I decided to do the right thing," Nessman said after the video showing him sprinting after the stroller and saving the baby in time was shared on social media.
In many such cases, when people hear about a homeless person doing something so wonderful, they want to help – often by raising funds. Although the idea was suggested by various sources, Nessman firmly declined. "If you want something in your life, you do it. I have to go to work tomorrow and I can’t wait. I’m excited. It's going to feel great," the former homeless man concluded.
