Flight Delayed: A Flight Attendant's Stand Against Messy Passengers
A Southwest Airlines flight attendant made headlines by delaying a flight due to food spilled on the cabin floor.

A flight attendant on a Southwest Airlines flight in the United States recently made the news after delaying the plane's takeoff because of passengers' behavior.
According to her, passengers littered the floor with food and blatantly ignored it, expecting the crew to clean up - an act that understandably upset the attendant.
The incident quickly went viral on social media, sparking worldwide reactions. Dozens of passengers justified the attendant's actions, calling the passengers inconsiderate. "I'm on the flight, and the attendant is delaying the departure because of the passengers," wrote a passenger named Jennifer Shafer, who was present on the flight. "It's crazy that people actually think others should clean up after them just because they paid."
"Sorry for being blunt, but who does that?" wrote another passenger. "Flight attendants aren't your mom. Clean up your mess. She is right. Whoever did it wasn't raised properly."
"So someone spilled their food and acted like it didn't happen," commented online users. "Do everyone a favor, stay home, and get a little training on how to leave the house."
Another outraged commentator wrote that flight attendants are not there to clean up after other adults' messes. "They are safety professionals. Kudos to the flight attendant, she did the right thing."
