A viral video from abroad showing an alleged massive car park flood in Florida was aired yesterday (Sunday) on News 12. However, online users claimed it was fake news, resulting from an app filter.

Media personality Ofer Chaddad presented the video on his program "Shalosh" and discussed it with Matan Yaakov, News 12's meteorologist: "Now with these crazy images coming from Florida. Rain caused flooding in various locations, including this underground parking garage that turned into a car aquarium in a single moment. But not just cars, each one more expensive than the other. What heartbreak."

Yaakov responded: "What concerns me a bit are the photographers taking pictures inside the flooded garage. We know the big danger in such flood moments, when waters rise quickly, and it is very dangerous to be in a garage in such a condition. The images are truly amazing, and I really hope the damage is only financial in this case."

Photographer Boaz Arad uploaded the images from News 12 to Twitter and wrote: "This isn't 'flooding in Florida', it's an application filter. Unbelievable that this item aired on the news." Arad's tweet received many humorous responses at the news company's expense, some of which were critical.

The news company apologized to viewers and announced their intention to investigate how the video made it on air. Chaddad stated the video "was not properly vetted before broadcast. The issue is being investigated."
