The Simple Trick for Removing Stubborn Stickers from New Dishes
Before I tried this crazy simple trick, I was skeptical. It seemed too easy to be true, but it really works!

Stop everything. Seriously, everything.
Until I tried this surprisingly simple trick, I didn't believe it would really work. Yes, you've probably heard of it, just like me, but maybe you also thought, 'No way, it's too simple.'
Of course, it depends on the type of glue and how it's applied to the surface. If there are 'bumps' on the dish, it will be harder to remove the sticker. I'm talking about relatively smooth surfaces without those 'bumps' on the utensil.
Confession: before I started this task, I was full of skepticism. Dr. Google suggested I heat up my stack of plates and cups with a hairdryer for a few minutes, but hey, I'm a busy person. I don't have time to stand for ten minutes heating dishes, and besides, these are expensive items and I was afraid they'd break from the heat.
I like solutions that are easy, practical, and simple, with an emphasis on simple.
So I turned to the old method I knew, but somehow it didn't seem that effective. Why? Don't ask me. The reason probably lies mainly in the fact that I hadn't really tried it. If I had, I surely wouldn't have abandoned it because it really, really works.
And I warn you again - it'll look too simple for most of us when you read it, and you'll need to understand we're talking about hot water only.
Yes, yes, even from the tap (though experience shows that stickers with stronger glue will need boiling water from the kettle and not tap water. Type of glue, as we said).
The original tip instructed me to soak the dishes in hot water for half an hour, but hey... I'm a busy woman. Who has time to start looking for tubs, not to mention the back pain involved with bending to put the utensils inside?
So what I did was turn on the water heater for fifteen minutes because, after all, it's winter. Once the water was hot, I wet the sticker's location for 10-15 seconds under the hot stream.
After the spot softened, there are two ways to remove the sticker, and I used the first way:
1. Scrub thoroughly with steel wool or a scouring pad.
2. Apply a little oil on a damp cloth, scrub the sticker, and then rinse with water.
In my opinion, there's no point in dirtying the plate with oil without reason. Just scrub it, and that's it, exactly like I've shown you in this video. Enjoy:
