Unexpected Traveler: Man Caught Trying to Sneak Albino Crocodile in Luggage
An American man was caught trying to smuggle a live albino crocodile from Germany to Singapore after his suitcase was scanned by X-ray machines.

A live albino crocodile was discovered around two months ago in the luggage of an American man at a German airport, on his way to Singapore. The crocodile, measuring 3 meters long, was identified at the airport when the suitcase was scanned by one of the X-ray machines at the security checkpoint. According to reports, customs officers found the crocodile wrapped in cling film when they opened the suitcase.
Legal proceedings were initiated against the 42-year-old man for the smuggling incident that occurred on September 25, according to a statement provided by Munich's main customs office. "During the baggage check, security inspection staff discovered an unusual X-ray image," the statement said. "They immediately alerted customs officers, who found a live white crocodile wrapped in cling film when they opened the suitcase." After the crocodile's discovery, it was released by customs and a veterinarian, received care, and is now housed and cared for in a reptile shelter.
