Smartphone Erupts Into Flames at Repair Shop
A customer brought a smartphone for repair, only to have it burst into flames. Luckily, both the technician and the customer were unharmed.

In a repair shop in India, a technician named Mahesh received a smartphone from a customer complaining it wouldn’t charge. While examining it at the service counter, the device suddenly ignited and exploded.
This incident was captured and shared on Twitter, showing the technician attempting to remove the phone’s battery to diagnose the issue while the customer stood on the opposite side of the counter. In mere seconds, the phone burst into flames, and both individuals swiftly escaped the explosion.

Fortunately, the technician and the customer were unharmed by the bizarre event. The cause of the explosion remains unclear, and local authorities are investigating. However, smartphone batteries are known to explode due to overheating or prolonged neglect.
According to PC MAG, "Modern mobile devices are powered by lithium-ion batteries, which contain positive and negative electrodes that enable recharging. If something goes wrong, the battery’s internal components can create a reaction leading to fire."
