The Tourism Office of Kathmandu, Nepal, has announced a new Guinness World Record, recognizing a young man named Bahadur Khapangi as the 'World's Shortest Teenager.'

Born in 2004, Khapangi is officially 18 years old. However, his appearance is quite deceptive as his height is only 73.43 cm (approximately 2 feet 5 inches), which is typical for a four-year-old child.

The story was brought to light by a Nepali YouTuber named Harna Catha, who was in contact with the boy's family and learned about their ongoing process of being recognized by Guinness World Records.

"His 11-year-old niece carries him to school on her back every morning," shares Khapangi's mother. Recently, he even received an official certificate from Nepal's Tourism Department Director General, Dhanujay Regmi, declaring him officially 18 years old.

In 2009, Jyoti Amge was awarded the title of the world's shortest woman when her height was recorded at 61.95 cm (approximately 2 feet 0.5 inches). Since then, she has grown nearly a centimeter, and at age 28, she holds the record for the world's shortest living woman with a height of 62.8 cm (approximately 2 feet 0.7 inches).
