At 28 years old, Faraman Ali from Pakistan has surprised many around the globe by revealing that he has been living in a tree for the past eight years, not by choice but by necessity.

In a viral video where he showcases his unusual home, Ali explains how he lives in a place where "no one bothers me or evicts me. The tree is on public land, and I'm allowed to live here."

A few years ago, his parents passed away, leaving nothing behind.

Ali attempted various odd jobs to make ends meet but struggled to sustain himself and quickly found himself on the streets. Today, with his treehouse providing his basic needs, he is content with his lot. "I live in peace and quiet, and I don't have to steal from anyone. I work hard washing cars and running errands in exchange for food and water. I labor hard to feed myself, but I'm happy no one bothers me anymore."

In the video, Ali explains how he built his treehouse from old doors and bamboo. It's a minimalistic home with a bed made from leftover wooden doors, an improvised sink, a small stove for heating and cooking, and a solar-powered phone charger.

Dubbed the "Tarzan of Karachi," Ali has become quite the celebrity in his country after sharing his story. "I asked everyone I knew for help before reaching this point. But I was just a poor guy, and no one wanted to help me because of my status," he concludes.
