DIY Revolution: Creating Your Own Reusable Toilet Paper
Meet Rose Channon, who became a viral sensation after sharing her zero waste lifestyle that includes making her own reusable toilet paper.

Rose Channon became a viral sensation on social media after revealing that she doesn't buy toilet paper—she makes it herself, "with a unique twist that you won't find anywhere else—it's reusable."
Channon, a mother of two from the United States, announced that her decision not to buy toilet paper rolls and to make them herself "has saved me a lot of money." According to her, some people find it odd or eccentric to make your own toilet paper, but she has her own agenda and isn't shy about sticking to it. "I think ordinary toilet paper is disgusting. It falls apart, tears, and leaves marks everywhere. It's not aesthetically pleasing. I prefer the toilet paper that I make."
In her viral video, which has surpassed two million views, she also mentioned she doesn't buy toothpaste and instead uses cloth handkerchiefs to blow her nose.
The "toilet paper" she refers to is actually a special fabric that she claims cleans much better and doesn't disintegrate on the body. "Some people might think it's gross; we have a bidet, so it cleans us, and we use the reusable toilet paper for wiping. Then we throw it into our laundry and wash it."
Many people have already contacted her to ask what type of fabric she uses, but she plans to turn the idea into a startup, and thus isn't ready to reveal the secret. "I've stopped buying disposable products for my bathroom because it's a lot of money down the drain. Now I also don't use wipes or cotton swabs. All my alternatives are reusable."
