The twins were delivered at Natividad Medical Center in California. Alfredo weighed in at 2.75 kilos, while his sister, Aylin, arrived at midnight weighing 2.65 kilos. The mother told 'People' magazine, "It's crazy to me that they're twins and have different birthdays, I was shocked and happy she made it to midnight."
The California twinsDr. Ana Abril Arias, the family doctor at Natividad Medical Center, remarked that the twins' birth was one of the most memorable in her career: "It was a pleasure to help these little ones arrive safely in 2021 and 2022. What an amazing way to start the new year."
The family also has three older children, two daughters and a son.
