Toy Shop in Bnei Brak Receives Heartfelt Apology from a Child
A toy shop owner in Bnei Brak was deeply touched when he discovered a colorful handwritten apology letter from a child who couldn't resist temptation and took a toy from the shelf without paying for it.

A toy shop owner in Bnei Brak was deeply touched this week when he discovered a letter with colorful, childlike handwriting apologizing for a moment of weakness: taking a toy from the shelf and running off without paying.
In the letter, which quickly went viral, the child expressed regret for taking the toy without paying and included the exact amount of money it cost in an accompanying envelope.
"I wanted to say sorry for not being able to resist and taking without paying — even though I intended to pay later. I wish it hadn't happened. I'm really embarrassed and hope you can forgive me. The amount for the product I took is enclosed."
In small print next to this, it was noted that the item was a 'smartwatch for kids'.
The toy shop owner in Bnei Brak told 'Bachadrei Charedim' that the store staff noticed the empty watch package and suspected a child succumbed to temptation, but they weren't certain. "We hoped the watch would be returned or paid for, so we left the package on the shelf corner. Truthfully, it happened rather quickly and I was certainly surprised. A few days passed, and a yeshiva student came to the store and asked the saleswoman to pass an envelope to the owner," recounted the shop owner, who was moved to find the letter along with the money inside the envelope.
He expressed great appreciation for the parents ensuring their child receives good education and, even when making such a mistake, takes responsibility and corrects it. "The wisdom is not in never making mistakes, but in knowing how to fix them," the shop owner concluded with emotion.
