#VALUE!
About 50 years ago, Peggy McSween lost her wedding ring in a massive potato field in Scotland. The couple spent years searching for the lost ring, but to no avail. Recently, the unique ring was uncovered by a metal detector and returned to its owner. At 86, Peggy had assumed she'd never see it again.
The gold ring slipped off Peggy's finger while she was gathering potatoes in the field near her home in the late '60s. It was recently found by Donald MacPhee, a local resident, after three exhaustive days of searching. Upon hearing the story of the lost ring from his neighbors, Donald became determined to find it. However, the search was anything but simple due to the 5,000 square meter field being littered with metallic debris that confused the metal detector.
Once he located the ring, Donald brought it straight to Peggy, who couldn't believe her eyes. "She put it on her finger and it still fit perfectly," he reported to the local media. Unfortunately, Peggy's husband, who had bought her a new ring after the original was lost, did not live to see the old one return home, as he passed away a few years ago.
