For ages, people have sought ways to rid themselves of those tiny, pesky flyers that love ripe fruits and vegetables. Recently, 'Google Trends' has shown a notable spike in searches for solutions to eliminate fruit flies.

It seems that fruit flies aren't just multiplying in the US—they're becoming persistent nuisances worldwide.

Though many bloggers have previously claimed to find the 'magic method' to eliminate them, a video shared by American web star Amanda Millen has garnered over seven million views, with many users swearing by the tip.

"This is the best trick I've ever come across to get rid of fruit flies. They've made my life miserable," Millen wrote, after resharing a video she stumbled upon online. According to Millen, while fruit flies love all kinds of fruits, pineapples are their ultimate weakness. "Simply put, they 'go crazy' for pineapple. Put a piece of fresh pineapple inside a bottle, then seal the opening with a funnel or paper cone so it covers the entire opening. That way, the flies will enter the trap and be unable to escape."
