What started as a simple doctor's visit for a cold led to a surprising discovery for Jordan, as a long-lost object was found in her ear after 22 years.

Jordan, 26 years old, headed to her family doctor feeling under the weather with a cold. During the visit, she asked the doctor to check her ear, which felt clogged and was causing hearing issues. To her astonishment, the doctor found an object that had been lodged in her ear for 22 years!

Jordan shared this strange tale in a video she posted on social media, writing: "When you go to the doctor for a cold, and they clean your ear to find a surprise."

So what was hidden there? It turns out the doctor found a small white tube that had been there since she was 4 years old. Jordan explained that as a child, she suffered from otitis media with effusion, often called 'glue ear,' which was treated with a procedure to insert tiny ventilation tubes. These tubes were supposed to fall out on their own within six months to a year. However, in her case, the tube remained in place for 22 years until the doctor discovered it. "At least it wasn't a bug. I had no idea how well I could hear," Jordan wrote in a post she shared.

The video gathered over 800,000 views and comments from people who had similar experiences: "I'm 27 and went to the hospital to get it out," wrote one commenter.
