The Hidden Hotel Among the Trees: Sweden's Unique Mirror Retreat
A hotel that nearly disappears: Discover the world's only 'invisible' hotel

In Sweden, there's a visionary with a completely unique perspective who pondered over a remarkable hotel idea for quite some time.
Believe it or not, his hotel is nestled among the trees, blending in with them. "I don't want to use trees for my benefit or harm nature for my needs," explains Kent, the Swedish owner of the hotel. "You can do everything within nature itself, integrate and merge with it."

"We're surrounded by forests and trees, so why not build a treehouse on top of a tree?" he asked himself, and then he began to act.
He reached out to some of the finest minds in architecture, handed them the 'keys', and told them to flow with every idea that came to mind to bring his vision to life.
Incidentally, he also had the funds to fuel all of their 'wild' ideas.
These creative minds proposed a hotel made entirely of mirrors, and Kent agreed. Thus, this hotel was born:

What's fascinating is that his entire 'hotel' stands on a single, unique oak tree. Here's how it looks from above:

So why did Kent insist on building a hotel on just one tree? Why did he choose to be so extraordinarily different from other hotel owners who cut down trees to establish their dreams?
"Trees communicate with each other," he offers as his intriguing reply. "They connect through the root system. For example, if we cut down the tree, other trees will respond by beginning to form a protective resin layer and strengthen themselves," he concludes.
Now that we've teased you with such essential information about the exterior of the hotel, let's get to the really interesting part and take a peek inside—at a hotel that is one hundred percent eco-friendly:
