Kirk Alexander, 48, lived alone in Oregon, USA. Every day or every other day, he ordered pizza from the same restaurant. Then, after 10 years, he stopped. The restaurant staff wondered what had happened to their best customer. The restaurant manager, Sarah Fuller, began to worry about his well-being, at first thinking maybe he had gone out of town or was visiting his family. As days went by, she began to fear the worst.

"He seemed like a really nice, quiet guy. He was like family. His order would pop up on our computer daily, and we always anticipated Kirk's order," said Fuller.

The staff knew that Kirk occasionally traveled out of town, but never for this long. They thought he might have gotten bored with the food and started ordering from another restaurant, but something didn't add up. Their menu was varied enough, he loved the food and the staff, so what made him disappear like that?

The restaurant staff decided to send their delivery driver to see what was going on with Kirk. As the driver approached the apartment, he heard strange noises. The lights were on, so he assumed Kirk was inside. He knocked on the door several times but heard no response. He called Kirk's mobile, but it went straight to voicemail.

Eleven days had passed since Kirk's last order, and the staff became increasingly worried. When the driver returned to the branch and told Fuller what had happened, she decided to call the police, knowing Kirk had health problems and never came to the branch, only ordered delivery.

The local sheriff sent some deputies to Kirk's apartment. When they arrived, they knocked on the door. Despite the sounds of the television, they managed to hear sounds of a man calling for help. They broke down the door and found him lying on the floor.

The officers called an ambulance, which rushed him to the nearby hospital. It appeared he had suffered a stroke, and the paramedics managed to stabilize him on the way. However, the hospital doctors were unsure how long it had been since the stroke and weren't optimistic about his condition.

Fortunately, after several life-saving treatments, Kirk seemed to be on the way to a full recovery. "We hope he can pull through," Fuller said. "We are like family here and were glad we could help."
