Village Sensation: A one-eyed calf born a few days ago to a young farmer is drawing crowds from all over the country. 'It's a miracle from Hashem,' says the owner of this newborn calf, which has the congenital condition known in medical terms as 'Cyclopia'.
When the calf's picture was published in the local media, many thought it was a hoax. A similar reaction occurred over a decade ago when a picture of a 'cyclops' cat was shared widely on social media, causing quite the stir. 'You don't expect to see something like this,' recalled Tracy Allen, who owned the rare kitten in Redmond, USA. Unfortunately, the kitten didn’t survive the genetic anomaly and passed away after just one night at Allen's home, sparking speculations about the image's authenticity. 'People accused me of photoshopping the picture—something that obviously wasn’t the case,' Allen recalled.
An American news agency decided to investigate these claims and concluded definitively: it's neither a prank nor a Photoshop trick. The picture is entirely real and was taken in real-time. 'This is indeed a cat likely born with Holoprosencephaly syndrome, causing distortions during fetal development,' said experts from the American Institute of Neurological Disorders.
