Wisdom among the nations: A 12-year-old from Britain has set a Guinness World Record by exceeding the IQ scores of Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking, all as part of her participation in a reality show called 'Child Geniuses'—a program aimed at discovering the brightest young minds in the country.
The girl, who calls herself Nishi, stunned the global community with her performance in the first round, which featured challenging math and science questions that she solved without a calculator. Her participation was driven by a desire to "prove that girls can excel in math and that girls can win. Most people think math is for boys, but I'm sure that's not true," she explained.
Among the 'simple' equations tackled by this young prodigy was calculating 66+73+94+43+40+49, and the audience was astonished when she quickly answered 365 within seconds.
At just ten years old, Nishi aced a national IQ test with a top score of 162 and even then had declared her ambition to become a scientist. However, one fact surprised the judges the most: Nishi was the sole contestant who registered for the competition independently, without being pushed by her parents. Nishi's father, originally from Sri Lanka, works in IT security as a bank deputy manager, while her mother is employed as an accountant.
