Every business owner is constantly thinking about how to 'reinvent' themselves and increase their customer base with an extraordinary idea, ideally something no one has ever heard of.

This trick works well with restaurants too - which is why we often encounter strange dish names on menus that are supposed to offer simple items.

Some take this trick to an extreme, courageously creating bizarre dishes that might even deter restaurant-goers and spoil their good reputation. Such is the case with Pava, an Italian restaurant in the town of Castelfranco Veneto, which recently began offering diners an especially bizarre dish called 'Fried Air.'

Did you find yourself smiling at this invention? Don't be too quick to judge harshly, because this dish has managed to convince the Italian public to flock to the restaurant in droves.

The mastermind behind this peculiar creation is a chef named Nicola Dinato, who explains that it's made from tapioca (a type of flour) that undergoes a short baking process and is then deep-fried in oil. The frying gives it the appearance of ice cubes or a kind of cloud filled with air, hence its name.
