Summer has arrived, bringing with it the annoyance of persistent flies that just won't leave us alone. Those sensitive to their presence will be pleased to learn about this tip — shared by an American YouTuber and soon after went viral.

Many users who have tried this hack are now claiming it's a winning formula and are eagerly recommending it to others. The most significant aspect of this tip is its complete lack of chemicals. All you need to do is hang a freezer bag filled with water and a few other items outside the entrance of your home, as shown in the video.

You'll need a sturdy bag (preferably a zip-lock freezer bag), table salt, lemon juice or vinegar, water, and a few coins. Place the bag near a source of light — like a window or in the yard.

The video creator and many other users assert that flies and mosquitoes dislike the scents of lemon and vinegar, and the reflection of the coins in sunlight creates 'unpleasant visuals' that drive them away. "Flies have compound eyes, and the combination we create in this bag results in an uncomfortable illusion for them, encouraging them to stay away."
