Unusual Arrival: Meet the Puppy with Green Fur

A Labrador Retriever recently gave birth to nine puppies, one of which is incredibly unique with its green fur. The dog's owner, Louise Sutherland from Scotland, couldn't believe her eyes. "At first, I thought I was imagining things," Sutherland shared. "The first puppy was stuck, and my daughter Claire and I managed to help it out. Only after all the puppies were born did we suddenly notice that one of them had a green coat. We couldn't believe it."

This is a rare but harmless phenomenon that has occurred a few times in the past. The puppy's unique color is due to a pigment called biliverdin, found in the mother's placenta. 

There have been other reports in the past of puppies born with greenish coats. Because of her puppy's unique color, Louise decided on the special name 'Forest'.
