A Social Experiment: A Child's Plea Unveils a Suspect

What would you do if, in the middle of running errands, an eight-year-old girl came up to you asking for help to find her lost mother? If your first thought is, 'Of course, I would help her, what else?', then you belong to the better half of humanity.

However, some people are not so kind, and the footage you are about to see is proof of that. An eight-year-old actress was asked to pretend that her mother was lost and to approach passersby for assistance.

While some kindly offered help, with a phone call to the mother or a subway ticket, others responded with apathy—or worse. Some ignored her by saying they were in the middle of a phone call and continued walking, and one person even pushed her aside in anger. Don’t believe it? See the pictures below.

And when the girl insisted on asking for help - he simply pushed her aside roughly

The blurred-faced person took it further - pulling the girl by the shirt, and told her

Yet, the man on the left, who also stopped to hear the girl's story, began questioning the man in the white shirt, telling him: "You have no right to handle her like that. I’m calling the police. Stay here and don't move."

The police arrived five minutes later, and when they checked the man in the white shirt in their database, they realized they had just caught a wanted criminal, sought by the police for several months.

"If it weren’t for this alert citizen, we dread to think what might have happened to the girl. He is an extremely dangerous individual," said the police officers.
